Description:

Octopus by RTG is seeking a Senior Software Testing Engineer for a 6-month contract in Cairo Governorate, Egypt.
The role involves working with a partner organization in Dubai focused on AI development.
Key responsibilities include developing, maintaining, and executing automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, QTP, or TestComplete.
The engineer will ensure that test automation frameworks are scalable, maintainable, and integrated with CI/CD pipelines like Jenkins and GitLab.
Responsibilities also include running automated test suites, analyzing results, documenting test cases, scripts, and outcomes, and reporting and tracking defects for timely resolution.
The position requires designing, developing, and executing performance test plans using tools such as LoadRunner, JMeter, or Gatling, simulating load and stress conditions, and analyzing results to identify performance bottlenecks.
Collaboration with development, QA, and operations teams is essential to identify automation and performance testing opportunities and optimize system performance.
The engineer will perform code reviews, provide feedback, and continuously enhance testing practices and processes.
Manual testing and maintaining comprehensive documentation of test cases, scripts, results, and performance metrics are also part of the role.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 6+ years of experience in both automation and manual testing.
Proficiency in automated testing tools such as Selenium, QTP, or TestComplete is required.
Experience with performance testing tools like LoadRunner, JMeter, or Gatling is necessary.
Strong analytical skills to analyze test results and identify defects.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Experience in maintaining documentation related to testing processes and outcomes.
