Description:

Metabase is seeking a Senior SRE/DevOps Engineer to help build and run their new 'Metabase Cloud' hosted product.
The role involves owning and operating the application stack and AWS infrastructure for hosted customer instances of Metabase.
Responsibilities include debugging runtime issues across the application and hosting stack, developing internal tooling and automation for managing the lifecycle of hosted Metabase installations, and continuously improving automated deployments and testing.

Requirements:

Candidates must have at least 5 years of experience building and operating production infrastructure, ideally on public cloud platforms.
Strong experience with Kubernetes and AWS is required.
Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform is necessary.
Applicants should be able to write high-quality and readable code in a modern programming language such as Python or Go.
Experience with modern monitoring stacks like Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog is essential.
The ideal candidate should be able to make solid technical judgments and articulate their reasoning effectively.
