Description:

Clarify is seeking a Senior Staff Engineer, Backend to join their engineering team and help establish the foundation of their customer platform.
The role involves working closely with the founders on zero-to-one experiences, making foundational technical design decisions, and owning a large engineering scope.
Responsibilities include designing and developing high-quality product software, driving architectural decisions, and managing the full product delivery life cycle for new platform capabilities.
The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver product features on time and build data integrations with various tools in the ecosystem.
The position requires partnering with founders on the strategy of customer-facing experiences, writing technical documentation, and contributing to internal processes.
The role demands high ownership over technical decisions and direction, educating and guiding future engineers in the technology stack, and establishing standards and best practices for engineering.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 8+ years of experience building scalable platforms.
A good understanding of database internals and experience in schema design is required.
Experience working on the AWS platform is necessary.
Candidates should be excited about integrating the latest LLMs into products.
Hands-on experience with data pipeline technologies such as Spark and Flink is essential.
Proficiency with the technology stack, including React, TypeScript, Next.js, and Postgres, is required.
Candidates should be pragmatic problem solvers with a focus on delivering impact and demonstrate personal and professional maturity.
Experience taking software from ideation to production is necessary.
Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills are required.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills are essential.
Startup experience or a desire to build a company in the future is preferred.
