Description:
LearnWorlds is seeking a Senior WordPress CMS Developer and Administrator to manage their WordPress-based blog and marketing content platform.
The role involves overseeing the maintenance, development, and optimization of a high-traffic WordPress site that is crucial to the company's content marketing strategy.
Responsibilities include ensuring the platform is visually appealing, technically sound, SEO-optimized, and integrated with key systems.
The developer will lead initiatives to enhance performance and capabilities, including a potential transition to a headless CMS architecture within the next 12–18 months.
The position is fully remote, with options to work from offices in Athens, Crete, and Limassol.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 5+ years of hands-on experience in developing and administering custom WordPress environments for high-traffic websites.
Expert knowledge of WordPress core, theme/plugin development, and performance optimization is required.
Proficiency in PHP, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript, including experience in building custom blocks or components, is essential.
A strong understanding of SEO practices and their implementation within WordPress is necessary.
Proven experience in integrating WordPress with third-party services and CRMs, particularly HubSpot CRM and custom systems via RESTful APIs, is required.
A strong Git-based workflow and experience deploying to staging and production environments are needed.
Candidates should be detail-oriented with excellent debugging and problem-solving skills.
Comfort in collaborating across product, design, and marketing functions is essential.
