Description:
Edpuzzle is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to join their Security and Infrastructure Team in Spain.
The role involves ensuring system reliability, scalability, and maintainability, focusing on cloud infrastructure, observability, and monitoring.
The engineer will collaborate with DevOps and Engineering teams to design resilient systems and manage incidents effectively.
The company uses AWS for hosting and employs CDK with JavaScript for Infrastructure as Code.
The product is developed using React and Redux for the frontend and Node and Express for the backend, utilizing MongoDB and OpenSearch for databases.
Responsibilities include designing secure and scalable cloud infrastructure, engaging in proactive monitoring, leading root cause analysis, and maintaining infrastructure as code.
The engineer will also write technical documentation and perform on-call service duties.
Requirements:
Candidates must have at least 3 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps Engineering, System Administration, or Cloud Infrastructure Engineering for web-based products.
A strong knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS), CloudWatch, and Datadog is required.
Experience with software release management and deployment pipelines, including Git and CI/CD, is necessary.
Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code using AWS CDK and experience writing JavaScript, TypeScript, or Node.js code is essential.
Candidates should have excellent communication skills and a product-oriented mindset.
The ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and pursue goals despite challenges is important.
Applicants must be based in Spain and possess a valid work permit.
