The role of Software Engineer involves working with a team of Platform Engineers to enhance developer experience, security, and productivity through self-service capabilities and automated infrastructure operations.
Responsibilities include collaborating with AI scientists and software developers, designing, building, and maintaining compute infrastructure (AWS Kubernetes, AWS ECS, Lambda, and EC2 instances).
The engineer will set the Compute Infrastructure Engineering vision and manage software development projects from start to finish.
The position requires close collaboration with stakeholders to define and refine the platform’s architecture, ensuring it is scalable, observable, reliable, and performs well.
The engineer will build core infrastructure, tooling, and software development processes, and work with machine learning engineers to optimize training and inference workflows.
Contributions to platform engineering projects will range from one-off solutions to long-term systems, including security tools and services for Cloud Infrastructure.

Requirements:

Candidates must demonstrate integrity and consideration for data governance when handling sensitive confidential data.
Prior experience managing multi-region AWS Kubernetes and AWS ECS infrastructure at scale with a security mindset is required.
Experience in upgrading Kubernetes clusters and ECS in production environments is necessary.
Familiarity with AWS Storage services such as S3, EFS, and FSx is essential.
A proven track record of building infrastructure automation solutions using Infrastructure-As-Code is required.
Some experience with CI/CD processes is necessary.
Candidates should have experience building services and tools using Python with a software engineering mindset.

The position offers a competitive base salary ranging from $120,000 to $180,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
