Remote Software Engineer

Description:

• The Software Engineer position at SmartAsset offers a high-growth opportunity to be part of a dynamic engineering team responsible for the technical and architectural domains of core products and services.
• You will work on the Core Services team, supporting systems critical for Advisors, lead management, and custom integrations for enterprise clients.
• Collaborate with various teams to complete sprint objectives, make key technical decisions, and improve processes.
• Identify and address tech debt to enhance system efficiency.
• Excellent communication skills are essential for collaboration in an asynchronous and fully remote environment.

Requirements:

• Must have at least 3 years of engineering experience in creating, maintaining, and scaling highly available systems.
• Proficiency in Java (or similar) and ReactJS for building, shipping, and scaling applications.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Experience with Git or similar source control tools.
• Ability to design and implement complex cloud solutions, preferably in AWS.
• Passion for coaching, mentoring, risk management, and continuous improvement in a startup environment.
• Preferred knowledge of least privilege principle, CI/CD environments, IAC tools (Terraform, Cloudformation), and incident management processes.
