Tecton helps companies unlock the full potential of their data for AI applications by streamlining the complex process of preparing and delivering data to models.
As a member of the Feature Engineering team, you will design and build the implementation of Tecton’s core Feature Engineering SDK, APIs, and developer toolkit.
Feature Engineering owns the abstractions and APIs used to build sophisticated ML pipelines utilized by thousands of developers.
You will work on the “hot path” of Tecton’s UX and partner with Product and Design teams to build capabilities for customers ranging from Fortune 100s to startups.
Responsibilities include owning and leading large technical domains, driving improvements in engineering practices, developing a deep understanding of customer challenges, building core user workflows, and reinforcing Tecton’s “Fast, but Focused” core value.

Requirements:

You must have 4+ years of experience in building product software systems.
Experience working in large Python, Java, Kotlin, or Go codebases is required.
You should have experience with distributed systems, SQL, and NoSQL databases.
A bias to action and a passion for delivering high-quality solutions are essential.
Strong communication skills and the ability to write detailed technical specifications are necessary.
A BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or related fields is required.

The estimated US base salary range for this position is $165,000 - $201,000 annually for employees based within California and New York.
