Description:
HONK is a fast-growing technology company disrupting the roadside assistance space.
The company is looking for a dynamic fully remote Software Engineer to join their innovative team.
This role involves working closely with full-stack engineers and UI/UX experts to develop APIs, enhance back-end Ruby on Rails systems, and improve ML-based dispatch platforms.
The position requires contributing across a variety of projects in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.
Responsibilities include building and enhancing products across the stack, developing back-end dispatch applications and RESTful APIs, collaborating with the UI/UX team, improving system performance, troubleshooting issues, and contributing to the agile development process.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 2+ years of software engineering experience.
Proficiency in Ruby on Rails, HTML, Javascript, and RESTful API development is required.
Experience with real-time systems, location-based services, and/or telephony apps (e.g., Twilio) is a plus.
A solid understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (Redis) is necessary.
Familiarity with system scalability, performance management, and agile methodologies is expected.
Experience with version control (Git), CI/CD tools, and project management software (Jira, Bitbucket) is required.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to quickly learn new technologies are essential.
Benefits:
The salary for this position ranges from $85,000 to $135,000 a year.
