The Software Engineer I will report to an Engineering Manager and will be responsible for building software and contributing to product development.
The role is fully remote, allowing personal working hours based on individual time zones, with team meetings scheduled to accommodate U.S. and Canada time zones.
Responsibilities include developing full-stack software using Typescript, MySQL, React, and Next.js, owning features from conception to production, maintaining a high-quality codebase, and collaborating with team members.

Requirements:

Candidates must have mastery of computer science fundamentals, which can be obtained through a college degree, alternative schooling, or extensive practical experience.
Some experience working on an agile software development team is required.
Proficiency in Javascript/Typescript, MySQL, React, or Next.js is necessary.
Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, database migrations, logs & monitoring, and other production development concepts is expected.
An entrepreneurial mindset is essential, as the company seeks individuals who can help build processes rather than just follow them.
A "roll up your sleeves" mentality and comfort with ambiguity are important traits for candidates.

The annual starting salary for this position is $135,000 USD / $173,000 CAD.
Employees receive 20 days of paid time off per year, prorated from the start date, in addition to all 11 federal holidays and unlimited paid sick leave.
