Remote Software Engineer II, Backend

Description:

• Best Egg is seeking a Software Engineer II, Backend to work remotely and collaboratively deliver a tested, adaptable core servicing platform that enhances efficiency in investor reporting and document management spaces.
• The role involves hands-on coding for 80% of the time, along with collaborating with other engineers in the product pod.
• Responsibilities include tasks from initial requirements analysis to solution implementation and testing.
• The organization follows agile principles, emphasizing quick iterations, secure solutions, and continuous learning through testing and failing.
• The Engineering and Enterprise Architecture team partners with key stakeholders to optimize short- and long-term value streams.
• The role requires a focus on feature development, clear documentation, communication, good engineering practices, code quality, and testing methodologies.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in delivering applications.
• Proven experience as a Backend Engineer or similar role.
• Experience with Java (Spring Boot) and Python for feature development.
• Proficiency in working with relational databases and RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with UI development and design principles.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and communication skills.
• Experience with AWS services, CI/CD, and Python.

Benefits:

• Competitive salary range of $67,000 - $100,000 per year with an annual incentive bonus based on individual and company performance.
