Alan is seeking a Software Engineer (x/f/m) for their Payment Processing team, which will serve as the central payment interface for the company.
The role involves building a unified payment platform that supports multiple markets including France, Spain, Belgium, and Canada.
Responsibilities include creating provider-agnostic services for various payment methods, high-availability card issuing and payment processing integrations, and developing composable APIs for other teams.
The engineer will also implement monitoring and observability solutions for payment services and create documentation and training materials for other crews.
The ideal candidate should be passionate about fintech and eager to tackle complex payment challenges, joining a small team with plans for growth.
Requirements:
Candidates should have at least 5 years of experience in software engineering and a strong problem-solving mindset.
Experience with third-party API integration (webhooks, RESTful, GraphQL) is required, along with a track record of building highly available, resilient software platforms.
A strong background in monitoring complex systems using tools like Datadog or Sentry is necessary, as well as the ability to build comprehensive dashboards.
Experience in software architecture and design, particularly in building maintainable, decoupled systems, is essential.
Knowledge of payment systems, payment service providers, and payment regulations is required, along with an interest in fintech and payment infrastructure.
Candidates should be well-versed in Object Oriented Programming languages such as Python, Java, or C#, and be enthusiastic about web technologies.
