The role of Sr. AI/ML Infrastructure Engineer involves building scalable infrastructure for training, evaluating, deploying, and monitoring ML models.
Responsibilities include building, deploying, and maintaining generative AI services and applications, creating data systems for model features, and managing applications in Kubernetes clusters.
The position requires collaboration with Machine Learning engineers and stakeholders to support ML infrastructure and experimentation platforms.
This role can be performed remotely within the United States or from the company's headquarters in Burlingame, CA.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 5+ years of industry experience in building production-level ML platforms and infrastructure.
Proficiency in writing high-quality code in Python, Java, or Scala is required.
Experience in building production-ready RESTful APIs and scaling platforms for a large number of users is necessary.
A strong understanding of ML models and principles, along with a desire to own significant parts of an ML Platform, is essential.
Candidates should have experience with containers and deploying applications to Kubernetes.
Familiarity with LLMs and building infrastructure to support LLM applications is required.
Experience with relational and low-latency databases, as well as transforming data in batch and streaming contexts, is necessary.
Strong communication skills and the ability to generate consensus within the team are important.
Organizational skills to simplify complex problems and prioritize effectively are required.

The anticipated annual base salary range for this position is $159,000 - $219,000, with placement depending on skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
