As a Senior Machine Learning Researcher, you will collaborate with a team of PhD researchers, ML engineers, and healthcare experts to develop AI models that enhance operational workflows in healthcare.
Your role will involve designing, training, and evaluating large language models to address healthcare-specific challenges, particularly in clinical Natural Language Understanding.
You will integrate Human-in-the-Loop feedback to improve model performance and ensure alignment with real-world healthcare needs.
The position offers the opportunity to publish research findings and contribute to AKASA’s product offerings, impacting healthcare systems directly.
This is a remote position based in the United States, emphasizing collaboration and innovation in healthcare AI.
Requirements:
A passion for addressing significant healthcare challenges using AI is essential.
Proven experience in training and fine-tuning large language models, with a strong preference for expertise in healthcare domain modeling and clinical natural language understanding.
A Ph.D. or equivalent industry experience in machine learning, natural language processing, or related fields, along with 2-3 years of relevant experience, is required.
Strong programming skills in Python and proficiency in deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow are necessary.
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) and multi-GPU environments is preferred.
A track record of translating research into practical applications, including rapid prototyping and writing production-ready code, is important.
Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment are required.
