Description:

The Sr. Software Engineer position at GeoDelphi, Inc. dba Whitespace involves building innovative solutions within the Answers platform.
The role focuses on the 'engine layer' of the platform, working with a technological stack consisting of a source, engine, analytic, and story layer.
Responsibilities include designing tools to provide technical solutions to complex questions, collaborating with a team of engineers and developers, and ensuring high-quality product delivery.
The position reports to the VP of Engineering and is 100% remote, requiring the candidate to be a W2 employee residing in the contiguous United States.

Requirements:

Design, implement, and maintain application phases.
Contribute to all phases of the development life cycle.
Write well-designed, testable, efficient code.
Ensure designs comply with specifications and recommend process improvements.
Prepare software releases, develop application code programs, and execute unit test plans.
Support formal testing, resolve test defects, and provide technical support.
Possess expertise in at least one language and experience with others like Python, React, Java, etc.
Proficiency in front-end development (HTML/CSS/JavaScript) and understanding of DevOps and software development processes.
Familiarity with GitLab, Jenkins, Nexus, SQL, NoSQL data stores, and ability to creatively solve technical problems.
Experience working collaboratively in a small team.
