Description:

The Sr. Software Engineer will work on cross-functional teams to build scalable systems for government partners.
Responsibilities include designing, implementing, and delivering services that improve public-facing processes and user experiences.
The role involves modernizing existing legacy enterprise platforms to enhance user access to programs and services in real-time.
The engineer will collaborate with fellow engineers and government partners to architect, implement, and deploy new systems.
The position requires working in an agile manner to efficiently ship new features that meet user needs.
The engineer will create tools and processes to automate development, testing, and production workflows.
Responsibilities also include writing and reviewing technical documentation, performing code reviews, and participating in an on-call rotation for production support.
The engineer may take part in hiring activities as needed.
Requirements:
Candidates must have at least 7 years of experience working in an agile, multidisciplinary team environment, preferably with medium to large-scale cloud platforms.
Experience in building web applications using Angular (Typescript), Storybook, and Apache server is required.
Proficiency in developing Lambda services and APIs using Java, Go, Spring Boot, Python, Fargate, and OpenAPI is necessary.
Candidates should have experience utilizing AWS cloud native services and data engineering.
A tenacious approach to problem-solving and the ability to iterate in working code is essential.
Candidates must be highly resourceful, reliable, and detail-oriented.
The ability to think strategically about trade-offs and benefits is required.
An adaptive, empathetic, collaborative, and positive mindset is essential.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary.
