Description:
TetraScience is seeking a Sr. Solutions Architect for the EMEA region to design, architect, and deliver impactful solutions to pharmaceutical and biotech customers.
The role involves understanding the needs of scientists and R&D IT analysts, analyzing their data environment, and assisting in the design and implementation of solutions.
This position is a technical presales role that interfaces with internal and external stakeholders, including sales teams, technical teams, customers, and potential clients.
Responsibilities include collaborating with lab scientists and managers to define workflows, working with Product and Engineering teams to create product plans, and partnering with Customer Success to implement the platform.
The role requires synthesizing customer feedback into a cohesive vision for improved lab operations and advocating for the customer’s perspective in product management.
Key tasks include mapping business requirements to technical solutions, calculating ROI for proposed solutions, and understanding industry-specific challenges in the Biopharma and Pharma verticals.
Essential soft skills include effective communication, presentation skills, relationship building, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
The position also involves sales support through product knowledge, demo development, and crafting responses to RFIs, RFPs, and preparing Statements of Work (SOWs).
Project management responsibilities include timeline management and stakeholder coordination to ensure smooth presales activities.
Requirements:
A scientific background and/or a minimum of 3 years of professional experience in Life Sciences R&D IT/Informatics is required.
Previous experience as a practicing bench or data scientist is highly valued.
A deep understanding of Life Sciences lab information systems such as ELN, CDS, MS, NGS software, LIMS, Registration, LES, and analytics/visualization suites is necessary.
Candidates must have a deep understanding of drug discovery, development, and manufacturing processes, with experience in large molecules or new modalities being a plus.
Proficiency in enterprise sales within the pharmaceutical sector is essential.
Candidates should be intellectually curious with a strong drive to learn continuously.
The ability to deal with ambiguity and thrive in a constantly changing work environment is required.
Experience with the AWS application stack is preferred.
