Bayesian Health is an early-stage startup focused on making healthcare proactive by providing real-time data to healthcare professionals.
The Staff Machine Learning Engineer role combines responsibilities of a Data Scientist, Applied Scientist, and Machine Learning Engineer, also referred to as a "Full Stack Data Scientist."
The position involves owning the end-to-end effectiveness of real-time models in a clinical AI product.
Responsibilities include developing and tuning ML models, writing data mapping code, debugging patient cases, and improving model prediction timeliness using production-grade Python and SQL.
The role requires building infrastructure for ML model development and deployment in production systems.

Requirements:

A Ph.D. in a relevant field with 3+ years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with 5+ years of experience in shipping ML-based software products is required.
Candidates must have experience owning ML models from prototyping to production.
Proficiency in writing production-grade Python and SQL code for implementing and evaluating ML models in production systems is necessary.
Familiarity with MLOps tools such as SageMaker and MLFlow is required.
Preferred qualifications include experience in shipping high-impact AI/ML products, working with healthcare solutions, and handling messy health data.
