The role of Staff Site Reliability Engineer involves building efficient, reliable, secure, and scalable infrastructure and code.
Responsibilities include provisioning infrastructure and tooling for the Assured platform, creating automated tooling for platform maintenance, and building sustainable methods for monitoring and managing services.
The engineer will work with various teams to improve observability, implement security strategies, handle incident support, and participate in on-call rotation.
The position also involves leading, mentoring, and learning from other engineers on the team.

Requirements:

Candidates should have experience in autonomously building and scaling high-quality products and environments from early stages to maturity.
A strong inclination towards automation is necessary, along with the ability to discern when automation is not the best solution.
The ideal candidate should take initiative in identifying and solving important problems while coordinating with others on technical issues.
Strong skills in code reviews, documentation, technical guidance, and mentoring are essential.
Persistence in overcoming roadblocks and self-motivation with minimal direction are required traits.
A passion for implementing and supporting observability platforms, SLOs, monitoring, and alerting is important.
Experience working in a scaling environment with Terraform, AWS, and Kubernetes is required.
A strong engineering background and history of designing systems are necessary.
