As a Staff Software Engineer, AI, you will design, build, and maintain AI-powered enterprise applications, focusing on an AI-powered contract review application called Screens.
You will collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver innovative software solutions that address high-stakes problems for customers.
Responsibilities include integrating and optimizing commercial and open-source LLM APIs, evaluating and implementing RAG pipelines, and enhancing internal AI developer tools.
You will also lead efforts to establish AI engineering best practices and troubleshoot complex issues across the AI and application stack.

Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience is required.
A minimum of 5+ years of professional experience as a software engineer, with at least 3+ years of applied AI/ML experience is necessary.
Proven experience integrating commercial LLM APIs such as OpenAI or Anthropic into modern software applications is essential.
Strong knowledge of building cloud-native applications using serverless technologies like API Gateway and Lambda is required.
A deep understanding of AI model evaluation, prompt engineering, and RAG techniques is necessary.
Strong problem-solving skills and a solid understanding of system architecture and performance optimization are required.
Familiarity with AI agent frameworks and evaluation methodologies is important.
Hands-on experience with RAG-based systems and AI evaluation pipelines is necessary.
Excellent collaboration, teamwork, and communication skills are required.
An eagerness to stay updated with the latest AI advancements is essential.
