Machinify is seeking a Staff level Software Engineer focused on backend development to join their engineering team.
The company provides AI-powered software products that transform healthcare claims and payment operations.
The engineering team is composed of skilled software developers and data engineers responsible for impactful code.
The role involves contributing to backend API services development to ensure extensibility, scalability, and security.
Responsibilities include recognizing and prioritizing customer deliverables and tech debt to develop a sustainable software suite.
The engineer will design and architect complex frameworks for applying ML techniques to large data volumes.
The position requires delivering resilient enterprise software solutions.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 8+ years of backend focused experience in application programming.
Strong working experience with Java and/or Scala in developing API services is required.
Experience in writing SQL queries is necessary.
Additional experience in Python, C++, or C# is a plus.
A strong foundation in computer science, including data structures and asynchronous programming, is essential.
Candidates should have a disciplined approach to test writing.
Experience in reading and understanding complex enterprise-grade code and suggesting improvements is required.
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills in a high-growth environment are necessary.
Candidates must be comfortable with ambiguity and able to take initiative when required.
A BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience is required.
