Description:
Everbridge is seeking a System Engineer with a strong software development background to join their team in Hungary.
This is a remote/home-based role that can be based anywhere in Hungary.
The role focuses on improving the operator experience and streamlining communication with field operators, including ambulance, fire, and police services.
Responsibilities include designing and conceptualizing system architecture, analyzing requirements, and deploying Proof of Concepts (POCs).
The System Engineer will collaborate with global teams, including Project Managers and Developers.
The position involves deploying applications on Windows and Linux servers, managing database deployments, and debugging software to resolve technical issues.
Requirements:
Candidates must have strong experience with Windows and Linux servers.
Proficiency in Active Directory (GPO, user accounts) is required.
Experience with web servers such as IIS and Apache is necessary.
Knowledge of software update management and patching is essential.
Familiarity with SQL, specifically MS SQL and PostgreSQL, is required.
Scripting skills in PowerShell and Bash are necessary.
An understanding of programming and debugging in .NET and C# is required.
Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) and storage solutions (Dell DAS) is necessary.
A basic understanding of networking topology, including DMZ and load balancer, is required.
Knowledge of Microsoft Clustering SQL AlwaysOn and Hyper-V is a plus.
Experience in GIS is also a plus.
Candidates must be fluent in French and have strong English communication skills.
A degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or a related field is required.
At least 3 years of hands-on experience in Windows and Linux environments is necessary.
Familiarity with CAD/Command and Control Systems is a plus.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills are required.
Candidates should be self-motivated, flexible, and innovative with a team-oriented mindset.
The ability to work well under pressure and support business-critical systems is essential.
Strong customer-facing skills with the ability to adapt to different cultures are required.
