Description:

  • The Tech Lead Frontend Software Engineer position at Gympass involves leading an agile full-stack engineering team.
  • The role requires driving the frontend architecture using state-of-the-art technologies and methodologies.
  • The Tech Lead will advocate for new techniques within the team and collaborate with other leads to tackle new features and tech debt.
  • Responsibilities include writing and reviewing code and tests, pair programming, helping and mentoring other developers, and contributing to RFCs.
  • The Tech Lead is expected to live the mission of inspiring and empowering others by prioritizing wellbeing in the work environment.

Requirements:

  • Expertise in front-end technologies, specifically React and Typescript.
  • Deep knowledge of how JS engines work and aggregation services like BFF architecture.
  • Understanding of GraphQL and experience in designing and developing its schema.
  • Proficiency in CSS technologies and CSS-in-JS technologies such as styled-components and emotion.
  • Experience in creating build tasks using tools like webpack and vite.
  • Familiarity with various testing methodologies including unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
  • Ability to stay updated with industry trends and suggest adoption strategies.
  • Capability to outline long-term plans for the codebase and belief in automation.
  • Strong communication skills in English/Portuguese to interact with technical and non-technical individuals.
  • Background in working with and developing design systems for multiple teams.
  • Problem-solving skills using critical and analytical thinking, and a data-driven decision-making approach.
