Description:
Insight Experience is an award-winning global leadership development company with expertise in business simulations, working with Fortune 1000 organizations for over 20 years.
The Tech Lead, Java will be responsible for leading the development of simulation software that allows Facilitators to guide teams through complex java-based simulations globally.
The role involves refactoring and rewriting a 20-year-old Java application, addressing tech debt, and making a significant impact on the tech stack and platform.
The first 90 days will focus on reviewing the current Java application, identifying tech debt, and modernizing the stack with best practices.
The position reports to the CTPO and requires a forward-thinking approach to cloud-native technologies such as AWS Lambda, AppSync, DynamoDB, CloudFront, ECS, and serverless.
Requirements:
Strong proficiency in Java, as most of the software is developed in this language.
At least 7 years of professional experience in software development is required.
A solid understanding of software development principles, object-oriented programming, and design patterns is essential.
Experience with GitHub and GitHub Actions is preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary for effective collaboration.
The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative remote environment is required.
