Remote Tech Lead (Python)

Description:

• The company is seeking a Senior Tech Lead with a focus on Python to assist in developing their Operating System for the Music Industry by overseeing technical teams to enhance their products continuously.
• The tech stack primarily includes Python, Django, AWS, PostgreSQL, and AWS Batch.
• The role involves leading the Pronto engineering product, a SaaS platform that processes plays from Digital Service Providers like Spotify, Youtube, Amazon Music, and Apple to identify rights owners and facilitate fair revenue distribution from digital streams.

Requirements:

• 6 years of software engineering experience and 2 years in a leadership position.
• Proficiency in Python and familiarity with SQL databases, particularly PostgreSQL.
• Comfort with designing distributed systems, with experience in AWS Batch/Redis RQ being advantageous.
• Previous work with brokers like Kafka, RabbitMQ, and cache systems like Redis.
• Experience with async Python code (asyncio) and a proactive and creative approach to problem-solving.
• Demonstrated ability in redesigning and refactoring systems and excellent written communication skills for remote team collaboration.
• Proactiveness in system scaling and improvement without constant direction.
• Leadership qualities to oversee projects and teams, align team members, share knowledge, conduct performance reviews, and participate in hiring.
