Description:

• Magic Media is seeking a Unity Automated Testing Developer with extensive full-time Unity programming experience, particularly in automated testing for games.
• The role involves creating frameworks, scaffolding, and maintaining code to test complex core game logic using Unity’s Editor and Play mode automated testing.
• The developer will collaborate with designers, tech art, and QA to create comprehensive test cases for core gameplay.
• Responsibilities include estimating task completion and writing technical design documents.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a wide knowledge of Unity and C#.
• The ability to independently drive a feature and communicate effectively with all necessary stakeholders is essential.
• Excellent communication skills are required.
• Flexibility and adaptability to new technological changes based on project needs are necessary.
• Mandatory experience includes creating Unit, Integration, Functional, and Automated Testing using Unity’s automated testing framework.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Unity game developer is required.
• A passion for video games is essential.
• Familiarity with performance bottlenecks, multi-threading, OS concepts, and optimization is expected.
• Strong debugging skills are a must.
• Candidates should possess strong reporting and documentation skills.
• Desirable qualifications include involvement in the development of at least one large game title from start to finish, experience with mobile development, a solid technical foundation (e.g., Computer Science / Maths Degree or equivalent), and knowledge of AI and scripting for automated player simulation.
