I'm a backend engineer with over 5 years of experience, mostly in Python and Django. What makes my background a little different is the range: I've built REST APIs and backend architecture on AWS, worked on automation and AI integration, and spent real time in HealthTech, building the backend for an EU funded Remote Patient Monitoring platform that dealt with live patient data and sensitive information.
The thread running through all of it is that I like problems where getting things right actually matters. I care about reliability and security, not just shipping something that works in a demo, and I'm comfortable owning a system end to end, from designing the API to fixing the messy production incident at 2am.
I've worked remotely with a US team and I move fast, which people tend to notice. On the side I build small tools to keep learning, most recently an agentic Python workflow that turns messy input into validated output.
I'm looking for a full time remote backend role where I can go deep on one product with a team over the long term, ideally somewhere that values ownership and clean, dependable engineering.
