I'm a full-stack engineer, five years in, all of it remote with teams in the US, UK and Europe.
Most of my work has been on things where being wrong matters. Live trading platforms where a stale number on screen means someone's money is wrong. Payment flows where a retry can't be allowed to charge twice. Tenant screening with credit bureau data behind it.
What I'm actually good at isn't a framework. It's the bit before the code, working out what should exist and in what order, usually with a founder who has an idea rather than a spec. I've led frontend teams, built design systems other teams worked in, and shipped apps to both app stores. I also maintain an open-source Postgres tool on npm, which keeps me honest about what shipping really costs.
React, TypeScript, Next.js, Node, Python, Postgres. Lately a lot of LLM work, agents and evaluation.
Looking for one long-term remote role rather than spreading across clients. Ideally somewhere I'm close to the product decisions, not just implementing tickets.
