I am an enthusiastic and analytical IT practitioner who has a solid background in IT Risk Management, Cybersecurity as well as ICT Operations. When I was a growing up in Kenya, I had always wondered how businesses operate on the basis of technology, but how little glitches happen in an organization that can cause huge repercussions. This interest made me take a Bachelor Degree in Mathematics and Computer Science and currently, a Master Degree in Cyber Security and Digital Forensics in order to find a good position of recognizing, analyzing, and addressing technological hazards.
My hands-on IT experience and risk orientation are unique in my case. I have been involved with banks and other international clients to conduct system reviews, user reviews, IT risk and reviews, as well as to maintain adherence to policies, standards, and procedures. I will be able to present technical risks as clear suggestions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders - this ability is mostly lacking among IT professionals.
I am also extremely versatile and goal-oriented and can work well in a workplace where detail and efficiency are critical. I am in charge of making sure that ICT assets are safeguarded and that the risks that affect organizations are minimized, whether it is by keeping track of an IT Risk dashboard, or supporting RCSAs, or conducting security audits.
Essentially, I have the expertise in technology, analytical skills, risk conscious attitude, and a belief in learning and developing in a banking IT Risk setting. This combination qualifies me as a perfect fit in the IT Risk Internship since I will be able to provide the strategy and the implementation of the technical knowledge at the operational and security level excellence.
