Backend Engineer

With over seven years of experience in software engineering, I build scalable, high-performance backend systems that solve real business problems. My background spans fintech, consulting, and SaaS, giving me a well-rounded perspective on delivering reliable software in production environments.

I bring a strong balance of depth and breadth across backend architecture and cloud platforms. I’m comfortable designing microservices with Java and Spring Boot, optimizing AWS infrastructure (Lambda, ECS, SQS, DynamoDB, EKS), and working across relational and NoSQL databases to apply the right data strategy for each challenge. I’ve contributed in fast-paced, high-impact contexts—from supporting high-volume systems at Wizeline to integrating AI-powered OCR capabilities into a fintech product.

I focus on building systems that are observable, fault-tolerant, and ready to scale. I take end-to-end ownership of production environments, including deployments, monitoring, and log analysis, and incident response on Linux and AWS. That full-cycle approach—from architecture decisions to hands-on troubleshooting—helps me support remote teams that value autonomy, accountability, and operational excellence.

Based in Mexico, I work effectively in asynchronous, globally distributed teams, and I communicate complex technical ideas clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders in advanced English.
