Backend Software Engineer with 5 years building production systems in Go, Python and PHP (Symfony, Zend, Swoole).

At Segura, a cybersecurity company, I redesigned an EPM/PEDM product database from 50+ tables down to 25, led a PHP 7.0 to 8.1 migration with zero downtime, integrated Swoole to increase backend throughput without additional infrastructure, and implemented Elasticsearch for product logging.

More recently, I work at the intersection of backend engineering and AI: building datasets used to train coding models, reviewing and validating AI-generated code, and engineering production-grade prompts. That gave me a calibrated sense of where these models are strong and where they quietly fail.

Open to remote roles.

Employment History

Software/AI Engineer at Alignerr Current 2026 - Now
● I led teams of 5 to 6 developers in creating datasets focused on specific themes that interacted with a set of APIs. ● Created high-quality datasets in PHP, Go, Python, and JavaScript used to train AI models in the software development domain, directly contributing to model accuracy improvements. ● Performed systematic review and validation of AI-generated code, providing structured feedback that improved output reliability and reduced error rates in subsequent model iterations. ● Engineered detailed, production-grade prompts used as training data for AI models, applying deep backend expertise to ensure technical accuracy and real-world applicability.
Software Engineer at Segura 2021 - 2026
● Developed an internal communication platform using PHP (Symfony) and MariaDB, adopted company-wide by all resellers, streamlining cross-team collaboration and reducing support overhead. ● Refactored an EPM/PEDM solution, redesigning the product database from 50+ tables down to 25 tables (50% reduction), significantly improving query performance and maintainability. ● Executed a migration from PHP 7.0 to PHP 8.1, modernizing the codebase with type safety and performance improvements while ensuring zero downtime during transition. ● Implemented Elasticsearch to handle product logs, making the logging system considerably faster. ● Integrated Swoole async runtime into the PHP backend, considerably increasing throughput capacity and enabling higher concurrent request loads without additional infrastructure. ● Built access control feature using Caitsith for granular permission management on remote Linux machines, enhancing security posture for enterprise customers. ● Developed database migration script successfully deployed by large enterprise customers, ensuring data integrity across schema versions with rollback support.
