Senior backend engineer with 14 years building and operating scalable, cloud-native platforms, mostly in Go and Java.

Most recently I worked on Bitcoin mining infrastructure at Luxor Technology. Before that I spent almost four years at Starian building containerized Go services processing roughly 3.5M API events per day off Kafka and persisting to PostgreSQL/TimescaleDB. A few things I'm proud of there: cutting an API Gateway's memory footprint from 12GB to 2GB with no loss of throughput or tenant isolation, turning manual API governance reviews into near real-time feedback inside CI/CD, and shipping an AI Gateway that let 14 autonomous teams deliver AI features safely behind centralized governance and secure runtime secret injection.

What sets me apart is caring as much about how a system behaves in production as how it is designed. Chaos engineering, graceful shutdowns, health checks and observability are habits for me, not checkboxes.

I am looking for a senior or staff backend/platform role on a distributed team, on systems where reliability and scale actually matter.

Employment History

Senior Backend Engineer at Luxor Technology 2026 - 2026
Backend systems for Bitcoin mining infrastructure, focused on reliability, distributed systems and production-grade Go services. Contributed to Commander and LuxOS-related systems, working with APIs, firmware integration and mining infrastructure. Worked with Redpanda for event streaming, ClickHouse for analytical workloads and Airflow for data orchestration. Collaborated with a distributed team to investigate production issues, ship fixes and improve system behaviour and observability.
Senior Software Engineer at Starian 2022 - 2026
Designed and implemented high-performance containerized Go services processing ~3.5M API events/day, consuming Kafka and persisting to PostgreSQL/TimescaleDB. Improved stability with controlled state management, health checks, graceful shutdowns, chaos engineering and observability standards. Built a Go CLI for CI/CD pipelines consolidating multiple internal tools. Automated API governance with Go and Java tooling, turning manual reviews into near real-time CI/CD feedback. Led adoption of a high-performance API Gateway using Go-based extensibility, cutting memory from 12GB to 2GB while keeping throughput and tenant isolation. Delivered an AI Gateway enabling 14 autonomous teams to ship AI features behind centralized governance and secure runtime secret injection. Also maintained Java backend services and integrations.
Senior Software Engineer at 2WayTech 2016 - 2022
Led the architectural evolution of a high-traffic SaaS platform by introducing Go-based microservices aligned with scalability and long-term growth goals. Designed and operated low-latency APIs in Go and Java supporting thousands of concurrent tenants at peak load. Improved deployment velocity, fault isolation and reliability through independently deployable services and cloud-native patterns. Managed and optimized AWS infrastructure with auto-scaling strategies sustaining 99.9% uptime for revenue-critical systems.
Software Engineer at 2WayTech 2012 - 2016
Developed and maintained backend systems for booking, scheduling and financial platforms using Java, Jersey and Hibernate. Built core business modules and APIs, addressing concurrency, transactional consistency and performance bottlenecks. Migrated legacy services to AWS, improving stability, scalability and operational maturity. Worked closely with product owners and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into reliable production systems.
