Software Developer in Test

I'm a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) and Quality Engineer with over 5 years of experience building and delivering software testing solutions across banking, financial services, insurance and customer-facing applications.

My expertise lies in designing and maintaining test automation frameworks using Java, Selenium, Cucumber, REST Assured, Python and Robot Framework. I have hands-on experience in UI, API, integration and regression testing, as well as integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Azure Pipelines and GitHub Actions.

Currently, I work as an SDET and Acting Test Lead, combining hands-on engineering with test planning, defect management, stakeholder collaboration and mentoring. I've contributed to quality engineering initiatives across major financial institutions, including Nedbank and Absa.

What sets me apart is my ability to go beyond traditional testing by developing engineering solutions that improve testing efficiency and business visibility. I've built automated financial data extraction and validation tools, scheduled auditing solutions and QA reporting capabilities that help teams identify issues earlier and reduce manual validation effort.
