Backend lead with five years building production platforms across government, cybersecurity and fintech — all of it remote.
Right now I lead backend on an AI workflow platform for a cybersecurity organisation: nineteen domain modules with boundaries enforced in the build, and an MCP tool surface that lets specialist agents act with the end user's own permissions rather than a service account. Before that I owned the cloud and edge architecture for HACCPY, a food-safety platform that runs computer vision on live kitchen cameras and turns them into real-time alerts. And I was the largest single contributor to Baraka — Uzbekistan's national citizen-services platform, where 1M+ citizens receive social benefits on Visa cards, retrieve government documents, pay utilities and transfer money.
What I'm good at: multi-tenant architecture, agentic AI orchestration, and systems where being correct — and being able to prove you were correct afterwards — matters more than shipping fast. I like owning a domain end to end, from the data model to the thing that has to keep running at 3am.
What I'm looking for: a remote-first team with real shared ownership, where I lead backend architecture on a product with actual users. Java and Spring are home, but I care more about the problem than the stack.
