I'm a Platform Engineer with high experience in Software Engineer and I'm passionate about cloud infrastructure, Linux, distributed systems, and open source technologies. Over the last 4+ years, I've been building and operating large-scale Kubernetes and OpenStack environments, focusing on automation, networking, virtualization, and platform reliability. I'm an active contributor to the OpenInfra StarlingX ecosystem, with more than 30 merged upstream contributions across multiple repositories focused on containerized OpenStack solutions and platform reliability.

My career has been centered around solving complex infrastructure challenges in cloud-native and edge computing environments. I've worked on Kubernetes deployments running on bare-metal infrastructures, contributed to the OpenInfra StarlingX ecosystem, and collaborated with globally distributed teams to deliver reliable solutions for enterprise and telecom platforms.

My technical expertise includes Kubernetes, OpenStack, Linux, cloud networking, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, automation, and observability. I regularly work with Python, Bash, Helm, Ansible, Docker, and Git-based workflows to build scalable and maintainable infrastructure solutions.

What motivates me most is understanding how systems work under the hood, solving difficult technical problems, and contributing to technologies that enable reliable software at scale. I'm always interested in connecting with engineers and organizations working on cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, open source, and platform technologies.

Employment History

Platform Engineer at Coforge 2022 - 2026
Platform Engineer working on the OpenInfra's StarlingX project. Allocated to the OpenStack Distro Team, building a containerized OpenStack solution for NFV in public and private cloud platforms based on StarlingX and focused on distributed edge computing use cases. • Solely led the upversion of 9 OpenStack client packages and 5 core Docker images (Nova, Neutron, Horizon, Placement, Heat) from Antelope to Caracal release on StarlingX, resolving Debian patch conflicts, Python wheel dependency issues, and build failures to unblock the team's release cycle • Identified and fixed a critical circular dependency in the StarlingX build system, contributing the fix upstream and restoring the OpenStack package build pipeline for the entire project (https://bugs.launchpad.net/starlingx/+bug/2092540) • Performed end-to-end validation of containerized OpenStack services on Kubernetes clusters, including Docker image builds (LOCI), registry operations, Helm override configuration, and application lifecycle management (upload, apply, remove) with runtime failure diagnosis Work Experience: Python, Linux, Helm (Armada and FluxCD), Kubernetes, Docker, OpenStack, StarlingX, Shell, Network functions virtualization (NFV), Libvirt, VirtualBox, Open vSwitch and DPDK, Debian Bullseye and Trixie packages, Distributed Systems, Software Defined Networks, Ansible, Jenkins, PyTest, Tox.
Software Engineer at Coforge 2021 - 2022
As Contractor for DASAN Zhone Solutions, I've contributed as C firmware software engineer to improve their Optical Line Terminal (OLT) devices by developing new software features and fix bugs that envolves Gigabit Passive Optical Network (GPON) technologies. • Fixed a database synchronization bug in OLT firmware where IP interface record updates were not propagated to corresponding Bridge interface records, implementing parameter translation and cross-record update functions in C for carrier-grade GPON equipment • Developed and maintained C firmware for Optical Line Terminal (OLT) devices, implementing new features and resolving defects involving CLI command processing, database record management, and GPON protocol handling on embedded Linux • Collaborated with QA and field support teams to deliver firmware releases for production OLT equipment deployed in ISP networks, performing root cause analysis and validating fixes across multiple hardware configurations
Software Engineer at Enacom 2021 - 2021
Contributed to the development of a Digital Twin optimization platform for one of Brazil's largest steelworks, implementing scheduling logic that sequences production across blast furnaces and 3 continuous casting machines to maximize throughput and meet delivery deadlines. • Developed and maintained features for a multi-user, multi-platform interface that resolves month-long production scheduling in minutes, supporting optimization of 4.5M tons/year of liquid steel across hundreds of steel grade combinations • Worked within engineering team to deliver a multi-objective optimization system that generated +1 day/month of production gain for the client without new capital investment, handling complex operational constraints and sequencing rules

Education

Bachelor of Electronic Engineering at Universidade Federal de Pernambuco 2017 - 2024
