Devops Engineer

I'm a DevOps Engineer and Co-Founder with 4+ years running production cloud infrastructure for high-traffic, distributed applications. I hold a BSc in Computer Science, Mathematics, and GIS from the University of Toronto, and I've personally architected and operated systems serving 1M+ monthly users in globally distributed, remote-first environments. My work centers on AWS, Docker, CI/CD, and infrastructure automation.

What sets me apart is a rare combination: a full-stack engineering foundation paired with direct, end-to-end infrastructure ownership. I've served as the sole technical decision-maker on production systems and as a contributor within larger engineering teams, comfortable across the full delivery lifecycle, from backend services and automation scripts to cloud infrastructure, DNS routing, and live incident response. I bring an ownership mindset and thrive in fully remote, asynchronous teams.

One achievement I'm especially proud of: I eliminated regional latency bottlenecks for a globally distributed platform by architecting a multi-region AWS deployment across three continents. Using Route 53 latency-based routing and CloudFront, I delivered p95 response times under 150ms for a 1M+ monthly-user base while independently owning all cloud operations and deployment pipelines.

I've also driven major efficiency gains through automation: CI/CD workflows with GitHub and Docker that cut deployment times by 50% and enabled weekly releases, a 60% reduction in production error mean-time-to-detection via Sentry, and event-driven automation in Python and Bash that replaced full-time manual processes. The goal is always the same: faster deployments, more reliable systems, less manual toil.

I'm committed to continuous growth. I'm currently pursuing the AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate certification, deepening my Kubernetes skills through hands-on study and a homelab project, and completing a structured DevOps & Cloud Engineering program. Fluent in English and French.
