Remote AI Engineer

Description:

• Bio is a decentralized science protocol that supports AI-driven biotech research, enabling scientists to raise funds and create value from their work.
• As a Member of Technical Staff on the AI Agents team, you will design, build, and scale core agent systems for Bio Protocol’s products.
• You will collaborate with full-stack engineers and scientist-evaluators to create agents capable of planning, tool use, and safe reasoning.
• This role combines technical depth with real-world scientific impact, emphasizing the importance of drive and cultural fit.
• Responsibilities include building agent capabilities, integrating agents with tools and data sources, developing quality and evaluation systems, and collaborating with scientists to improve performance.
• You will implement safety measures, optimize performance, and contribute to the agent platform, including services, APIs, and observability.

Requirements:

• You must have experience building production software in Python and/or TypeScript, with strong systems and API design skills.
• Proven experience in shipping LLM applications or agentic systems is required.
• Familiarity with agent/orchestration frameworks and vector databases is necessary.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure and containers, as well as CI/CD and production telemetry, is essential.
• You should be able to translate research prototypes into robust, scalable systems.
