Description:

Design and build agentic AI systems to automate complex workflows across ICON's software platform.
Develop LLM-powered features using state-of-the-art foundation models and APIs.
Architect multi-agent pipelines and integrate Model Context Protocol (MCP).
Build robust RAG systems for document ingestion and vector retrieval.
Collaborate with teams to identify AI automation opportunities and translate them into products.
Own the full development lifecycle of AI features from prototyping to deployment.
Serve as a technical resource and mentor on agentic AI best practices.
Stay updated on emerging techniques in the agentic AI landscape.

Requirements:

6+ years of professional software engineering experience, strong in backend or full-stack development.
Experience building and shipping production-grade products using LLMs and agentic frameworks.
Proficiency in TypeScript and/or Python.
Deep understanding of prompt engineering and LLM reasoning patterns.
Experience with tool-use and agent orchestration (e.g. LangChain, Claude Code).
Ability to design structured evaluations to improve AI system performance.
Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance.

Remote work flexibility with periodic travel to ICON HQ in Austin, TX.
