Remote AI Software Engineer (Remote - US)

Description:

• This position is for an AI Software Engineer at Callibrity, available remotely in the United States.
• The role involves leading by example as both a subject matter expert and a hands-on engineer, driving innovative AI-driven solutions.

• Key accountabilities include designing and developing RESTful APIs in Python (FastAPI), building intelligent features using Azure AI services, and deploying scalable applications on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) or Azure App Service.
• The engineer will partner with product owners, designers, and engineers to deliver end-to-end solutions and implement secure, maintainable, and testable cloud-based applications.
• Setting up CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps is also part of the role.
• The engineer will act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing technical leadership and strategic guidance, while mentoring and upskilling peers and client teams.
• The role involves exploring and evaluating emerging technologies across AI, ML, Cloud, and IoT, and communicating complex technical concepts clearly.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong expertise in Python with production-level experience building APIs, ideally using FastAPI, is required.
• Hands-on experience with Azure AI services, including Machine Learning, Cognitive Services, and OpenAI, is necessary.
• Proven ability to deploy applications in Azure cloud environments is essential.
• A solid understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration is required.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code (Terraform or ARM templates) is a plus.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills are necessary, with the ability to explain complex ideas clearly.
• Preferred qualifications include experience with MLOps or data engineering, integrating ML workflows into production, and familiarity with modern frontend frameworks (React) for full-stack contributions.
