We are looking for an experienced Android Team Lead Developer to drive team productivity, shape architecture decisions, and lead the development of complex business logic.
In this role, you will have the autonomy to implement your own ideas and solutions, optimize existing approaches, and introduce new technologies.
You will be leading a team focused on building a high-impact application that’s expected to grow significantly over the next 6 to 12 months, and your leadership will be key to that growth.
The product is an iOS and Android streaming app that targets users in the USA and Tier-1 markets, facilitating safe communication among people with similar interests.
Key strengths of the app include a user-friendly UX/UI, high-quality video with beauty effects, and no ads.
The app is built without legacy code, enabling agile development and quick iteration.
The team uses Scrum methodology and leverages deep expertise in the field to operate in a dynamic and competitive niche.
Responsibilities include developing and maintaining the high-performance app, managing the Android development team, writing clean and maintainable code, participating in key technical decisions, and collaborating on ideation and feature development.
Requirements:
You must have 4+ years of experience in native Android development.
Proven experience in leading and managing development teams is required.
Strong knowledge of Android SDK and Kotlin is essential.
Experience with Clean Architecture and MVI is necessary.
A solid understanding of OOP principles and SOLID is expected.
You should have a passion for modern software development trends.
A commitment to writing high-quality, clean, and testable code (TDD, BDD) is important.
Knowledge of data storage solutions such as SQLite and Room is required.
Experience with dependency injection frameworks like Koin, Hilt, or Dagger 2 is necessary.
Hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose is expected.
You should be confident in using third-party libraries (e.g., Retrofit, OkHttp, Glide).
A results-driven mindset with a focus on outcomes over process is essential.
Upper-Intermediate English or higher is required.
