The Applied AI Engineer will design, build, and deploy agentic workflows powered by Large Language Models (LLMs).
The role involves working closely with customers to address real-world business problems and creating innovative agent workflows that integrate LLMs with various tools, APIs, and data sources.
The position requires balancing rapid iteration with enterprise requirements to evolve prototypes into stable, reusable solutions.
Responsibilities include defining evaluation and quality standards, debugging agent behavior, and contributing to shared frameworks for consistent delivery across customers.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field is required.
Strong programming skills in Python and/or JavaScript/TypeScript are necessary.
Candidates must have 3+ years of experience building and shipping production software, with at least 2+ years working with LLMs or AI APIs.
Hands-on experience with modern LLMs, vector databases, and agent/orchestration frameworks is essential.
Practical experience with RAG, agent workflows, evaluation, and performance optimization is required.
Strong agent design skills, including prompt engineering and multi-step workflows, are necessary.
The ability to reason about trade-offs between customization and reuse, as well as autonomy, control, cost, latency, and risk, is important.
Strong communication skills and experience leading technical discussions with customers or partners are required.
