Remote Associate Principal Engineer, Big Data

Description:

• The company is seeking an Associate Principal Engineer with expertise in Snowflake, SQL Server, Python (Strong), and SQL (Strong).
• The ideal candidate should have a total of 10+ years of experience in the field.
• Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
• The candidate should have a minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in data engineering.
• Commercial experience of 5+ years with MSSQL and 2+ years with a major cloud provider, preferably AWS, is required.
• Experience in an embedded DBA/DBM role working directly with developers is necessary.
• Proven track record in designing and implementing complex data pipelines, ETL processes, and data integrations.
• In-depth knowledge of Snowflake architecture, features, and best practices for performance optimization is essential.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, or other relevant programming languages for data manipulation and transformation is a must.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex data engineering challenges are required.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment are essential.
• Data engineering certifications are considered a plus.
