The Back End Engineer will participate in the development and maintenance of robust, reusable code for data ingestion, tracking over 2.5 billion products from more than 5,000 retailer websites daily.
Responsibilities include working on existing and new product projects, monitoring application performance, implementing new back-end features, and maintaining current ones.
The role involves participating in the entire development process, building high-performance applications, implementing security protocols, and collaborating with Front-end Developers, QAs, and Product Managers.
The position is full-time and can be performed remotely or from the Sofia office.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 2+ years of experience with Python.
A solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming, SOLID principles, design patterns, and service-oriented architecture is required.
Applicants should have experience in building secure back-end services.
Proficiency with Elasticsearch, NoSQL, and SQL databases is necessary.
Experience with AWS and GitHub Actions is required.
Candidates should have experience with unit and integration tests and monitoring of services.
Familiarity with Kubernetes and Docker is essential.
Knowledge of techniques for optimizing application performance is required.
Experience or knowledge in concurrency and distributed systems, security, and Redis will be considered a plus.
