Devexperts is seeking a Backend Developer to join their team.
The current project involves developing a leading trading platform in the USA, which serves over 200,000 online users daily across various devices.
Responsibilities include managing all business processes related to trading, such as order issuance, validation, routing, execution, option price calculation, and reconciliation.
The company emphasizes high performance, low latency, and fault tolerance in their backend services.
Code quality is ensured through careful code reviews and various types of testing.
Teams operate in a Scrum/Kanban environment using tools like the Atlassian suite, Slack, TeamCity, Sonar, Docker, etc.
Teams are multicultural and distributed, typically consisting of 3-7 backend engineers along with QAs, FEs, BAs, etc.
The technology stack includes Python or GO development, Apache Spark, Apache Airflow, Presto, SQL, Postgre, Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
Working hours require availability until 8:00 PM in Lithuania to support collaboration with teams and stakeholders in the Pacific Time Zone.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 3+ years of hands-on experience in backend software development.
Strong proficiency in one or more backend technologies such as Java, Python, C#, or similar is required.
A passion for coding is essential.
A foundation in computer science data structures, algorithms, and their complexities is expected.
Candidates should have a desire to optimize, document, and maintain code, as well as cover it with tests.
Willingness and energy to take ideas from proof of concept to production-proof code is necessary.
A general responsibility and result-oriented mindset is important.
Candidates should have a desire to achieve goals as a team, willingness to help colleagues, and the ability to provide and accept constructive feedback.
B2+ English proficiency is required for communication with multicultural teams and a US customer.
Considered a plus are a trading and capital markets background, hands-on experience in concurrent programming, exposure to distributed systems, a foundation in asynchronous communications, and solid Unix/Linux knowledge.
