  • Your responsibilities will include designing, building, and maintaining scalable backend systems that support Addie’s AI-powered features.
  • You will collaborate on integrating external APIs, such as OpenAI and Azure AI, to power AI-driven insights.
  • You will develop secure data pipelines and ensure FERPA-compliant handling of sensitive information.
  • Your work will involve optimizing backend architecture for performance to accommodate increasing demand.
  • You will work closely with frontend engineers and product teams to deliver a seamless user experience.
  • You will implement backend components that enable AI-driven features, ensuring robustness and reliability.
  • You will champion best practices for clean, maintainable, and scalable code.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Python is required, with experience in frameworks like FastAPI or Django being a plus.
  • Familiarity with AI tools and APIs, including OpenAI, Azure AI, Amazon Bedrock, and Google Vertex APIs, is necessary.
  • Expertise in relational and NoSQL databases is essential for this role.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure is required.
  • You must have the ability to implement secure, FERPA-compliant systems.
  • Strong backend development expertise with a proven ability to design and deploy scalable systems is expected.
  • Familiarity with data management and secure handling of sensitive information is important.
