Description:
PayPay Securities is a part of PayPay’s financial ecosystem, having launched “Point Management” with over 20 million users and “PayPay Asset Management,” the first initiative in Japan that enables asset management on a payment application.
The company aims to change the structure of asset management in Japan, targeting individuals who have not yet started asset management or were previously uninterested.
As a Backend Engineer, you will collaborate with engineers, designers, and QAs, and be one of the founding members to build a new organization within PayPay Securities.
This position is for Japan residents only.
Requirements:
You must have 3-5 years of experience in developing Backend Applications for company products.
Experience in using Java or PHP in a professional environment is required; if you are a non-Java user, you should have excellent skills in generalized programming languages such as Scala, Python, or Go.
You should have an interest and ability to learn other coding languages as needed.
Experience with NoSQL databases and distributed cache is necessary.
Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming are required.
You must have an in-depth understanding of concurrency and distributed computing.
A degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science, or 5+ years of equivalent experience in SaaS platform development is required.
You should have business-level proficiency in either English or Japanese (JLPT N1).
