Remote Backend engineer

Description:

• We are seeking a skilled and experienced Backend Engineer to join our growing technology team.
• In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend systems that power our applications and services.
• You will work closely with product managers, frontend developers, DevOps, and QA teams to build reliable and performant systems that solve real-world problems for our users.

• Key responsibilities include designing scalable and maintainable backend architectures, building secure and performant RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs, managing database schemas, writing clean and maintainable code, optimizing application performance, implementing backend security best practices, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 3–6 years of hands-on experience in backend development is required.
• Proficiency in one or more backend languages such as Node.js, Python, Java, Go, or Ruby is necessary.
• A solid understanding of RESTful API design and development is essential.
• Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Redis) is required.
• A strong grasp of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles is needed.
• Experience in unit testing, integration testing, and test-driven development (TDD) is mandatory.
• Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, and containerization tools like Docker is expected.
• An understanding of cloud services (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and microservices architecture is a strong plus.
