Remote Big Data Infrastructure Engineer

Description:

• Own and lead the big data infrastructure for the international contour in the Big Data Platform team.
• Deploy, upgrade, and operate core services including HDFS, S3-compatible object storage (Apache Ozone), and Iceberg.
• Run an infrastructure pilot to transition from large datasets to numerous small tables.
• Introduce compute and storage quotas, migrate Iceberg catalog, and rebuild monitoring and alerting systems.
• Collaborate with a parallel engineer and share solutions.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in designing, deploying, and operating big data platforms.
• Hands-on experience with HDFS/Hadoop: deployment, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with S3-compatible object storage (Apache Ozone preferred).
• Familiarity with Apache Iceberg.
• Experience in setting up monitoring and alerting for data infrastructure.
• English proficiency at B2 level.
• Ability to work in the GMT+3 time zone (up to 3 hours difference).
