Remote Core Software Engineer (C++) - Remote

Description:

• Join ClickHouse's Core Performance team to analyze and optimize the performance of the ClickHouse database.
• Work on query optimization, distributed query optimization, relational operators, caching, and low-level optimizations.
• Extend existing and add new performance tests to ensure database performance.
• Collaborate with core teams and support engineering to assess the impact of new features on performance.
• Engage with the open-source community by resolving issues and reviewing PRs.

Requirements:

• Solid professional software development experience in C++ and Unix Systems.
• Strong knowledge of database internals and design.
• Experience in performance engineering, preferably in databases or related fields.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work across engineering teams.
• Strong problem-solving and production debugging skills.
• Passionate about efficiency, scalability, and data governance.
• High level of responsibility, ownership, and accountability.
