Remote Data Analyst (Arabic)

Description:

• Support Lightcast's global data initiatives by analyzing and improving multilingual data quality.
• Collaborate with Linguistics and Engineering teams to develop parsers and evaluate text classifiers.
• Translate key taxonomies to ensure high-quality data delivery to customers.
• Full-time independent contractor position for up to 8 months, requiring personal laptop and reliable internet access.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in reading and writing Arabic, with understanding of Arabic syntax and structural analysis.
• Knowledge of multiple Arabic dialects preferred; additional languages are a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in Linguistics, Data Analytics, NLP, or related field preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUPs and data cleanup.
• Knowledge of SQL and regular expressions (RegEx).
• Familiarity with text analysis or machine learning principles.
• Ability to perform detail-oriented work accurately and independently.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
